Explosions have hit three
houses of worship and three lodgings in and around the Sri Lankan capital of
Colombo leaving something like 42 dead and in excess of 280 harmed, police
sources said.
The hotels and one of
the places of worship are in the country's capital Colombo. The other church is
in Negombo, north of Colombo. This occurred during Easter prayers.
A source in the
police bomb squad said that one of the blasts was at St Anthony's Church in
Kochcikade, Colombo.
